Responsibilities

Advise business leaders and HR partners by delivering actionable compensation consulting, enabling informed talent and pay decisions
Lead and manage significant compensation projects that improve pay programs, processes, or policies, driving measurable business results
Support and enhance employee recognition programs, contributing to a culture of engagement and performance
Strengthen our compensation programs by ensuring timely and accurate compensation planning, market data analysis, and survey submissions, helping maintain Freddie Mac’s competitive position in the market

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5–7 years of compensation experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demanding projects
Proficiency in compensation administration using HR information systems (e.g., Workday)
CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or commitment to pursuing certification preferred

Preferred

Strong project management skills, with the ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver multiple initiatives simultaneously
Curiosity and initiative to explore new technologies—including AI—to improve compensation processes and decision-making
Analytical mindset and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and accurate work
Collaborative approach, building effective partnerships across HR, business units, and cross-functional teams
Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate data and insights into actionable recommendations
Adaptability and resourcefulness in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Commitment to continuous learning and growth within the compensation field
