Senior Systems Test Engineer

The Sr. Systems Test Engineer is responsible for transitioning new product designs from development to pilot manufacturing, collaborating with various teams to ensure successful product launches.

Responsibilities
Participate in advanced technology and product development
Analyze concepts and designs for feasibility in manufacturing and identifying potential problems early on
Provide Design for Test (DFT) recommendations during product design reviews
Develop and optimize systems integration and test processes
Automate test execution, data collection and post-processing to improve efficiencies, reporting, ease operation and increase safety
Develop test documents, plans, and scripts
Collaborate with contract manufacturers to develop test procedures, including Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures
Identify opportunities for process optimization and implementing solutions for continuous improvement
Work closely with scientists and engineers to understand the new product integration and test requirements
Develop plans and procedures for systems integration and test
Conduct tests to ensure that the product and manufacturing processes meet requirements
Develop and execute test process verifications, optimizations, and reports
Support the engineering team with prototype integration and test
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and software issues during testing
Support procurement and hands-on maintenance of the test fixtures
Design, specify and maintain tooling and fixtures for functional systems testing
Prepare plans and documentation to test pilot manufacturing processes and pilot tools
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for process and product failures
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve cost, test efficiency, and product quality
Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during the transition to pilot manufacturing
Use structured analysis methods to find root causes and verify solutions
Drive continuous improvement projects to improve the product and the manufacturing processes
Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain, to ensure a successful product launch
Qualification
Required
B.S. Manufacturing / Mechanical / Electrical / Optical Engineering or related field. M.S. Engineering, or related field, is a plus
5+ years of systems integration and test experience in the capital equipment industry, preferably WFE industry
Experience in optical, electromechanical and software systems and their interactions in the context of complex industrial equipment
Preferred
Experience in the WFE, Aerospace, Defense, Optical or Medical equipment industries
Experience with SolidWorks, NetSuite ERP/MRP and Arena PLM/QMS
Proficiency in diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in optics, opto-mechanics, and motion control systems
Detail focused with an ability to plan, collaborate, and optimize systems integration and test methods
Certifications like PMP/PE/Lean/Six Sigma etc
