BIM Project Specialist | Plumbing Engineering

EUA is a fully integrated architecture and engineering firm, and they are seeking a BIM Project Specialist to support the design, coordination, and execution of Building Information Modeling processes specifically for plumbing systems. The role involves creating detailed Revit models, leading coordination efforts, and ensuring adherence to BIM standards to enhance project efficiency and quality.

Architecture

Responsibilities

Create, manage, and maintain detailed Revit models for plumbing systems, from design development through to detailed documentation. Ensure that all models comply with industry standards and project specifications
Lead coordination efforts between plumbing systems with other building systems. Facilitate and lead coordination and clash detection meetings with internal teams and external consultants using tools such as Navisworks and ACC BIM360. Ensure timely resolution of clashes and conflicts by working closely with all project stakeholders to deliver coordinated, conflict-free designs
Assist in the virtual design and layout of plumbing systems, providing support for system sizing, routing, and space management
Ensure adherence to BIM execution plans (BEP), managing project-specific BIM standards for plumbing systems. Perform regular quality control checks on models to maintain accuracy and alignment with project goals
Ensure all plumbing models adhere to EUA's internal standards and best practices, maintaining consistency, sustainability, and accuracy across all projects. Your work will reflect EUA’s commitment to high-quality, integrated design and engineering excellence
Provide technical support to engineers and designers on Revit and BIM processes related to plumbing systems. Conduct training sessions on best practices and advanced features in Revit
Manage and organize all plumbing data within the BIM model, ensuring accurate data exchange between different teams and disciplines. Assist in integrating BIM models with project management and analysis software

Required

Two- or four-year degree in Architectural Technology or Engineering Technology
Unlicensed / May pursue designer certification. CPDT preferred but not required
5-10+ years of experience with Revit and BIM tools in a plumbing context
Proficiency with Navisworks, Revit, Dynamo, and other relevant BIM software
Experience leading coordination meetings, performing clash detection, and resolving design conflicts
Knowledge of plumbing design principles, codes, and standards
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor others on BIM/VDC processes related to plumbing
Has a proactive approach to projects and problem solving and can self-direct project work, tasks, and process improvements
Assists in on-site observation and documentation
