Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the documentation needs of both the development and departmental teams
Ensure documentation accuracy and completeness to meet expected technical controls and best practices
Perform gap analysis of documentation to governance, regulatory and industry best practice expectations
Use BI tools and techniques to build solutions that align data, business needs, and technology to deliver information. BI solutions typically include developing reports, dashboards or scorecards
Develop complex Tableau dashboards and visualizations to provide actionable insights
Collaborate with business partners to develop or enhance BI solutions by defining scope, analyzing and documenting requirements, and designing best-practice deliverables
Develop, enhance, and maintain a range of documentation, including user manuals, process documentation, developer guides, diagrams, and instructions
Ensure all documentation adheres to industry-specific and regulatory standards, conveying complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
Work closely with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure technical accuracy in all materials produced
Participate in reviewing and editing documentation to maintain consistency and quality across various deliverables
Manage documentation projects, including organizing content, timelines, and version control
Adapt documentation style and tone based on the target audience, whether technical or non-technical
Ensure effective identification, quantification, communication, and management of technology risk, focusing on root cause analysis and resolution recommendations
Provide reporting and data analysis for monthly governance meetings and leadership dashboards utilizing automation tools and dashboard visualizations within technology to enhance the risk monitoring capabilities
Develop well-designed approaches to assess risks, document the assessments and make presentations on findings to senior leadership
Develop and maintain governance reporting packages that include dashboard visualizations on performance metrics and control processes
Collaborate with business units on identification of gaps in risk management relevant to their areas and assist in designing effective and practical ways to better manage the risk where significant gaps exist
Performs technology control reviews and identifies control gaps resulting in recommendations for inclusion program maturity and issue remediation
Regular review and refinement of processes to improve reporting, measurements, and accuracy of data
Assist audits through partnerships with both internal, external auditors, and technical business owners to gather, review, and coordinate documentation gathering
Supports technology regulatory examination and audit management
Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure documentation remains relevant and compliant
Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity
Qualification
Required
5 years of relevant technical writing experience creating technical documentation for IT professionals such as software engineers, system engineers, or security engineers in the banking or financial services industry
3 years of experience with SQL and data visualization tools to develop queries, metrics, and dashboards to answer business questions
Tableau Desktop Specialist & Tableau Data Analyst certification
Experience working cross-functionality with a variety of technical teams; job shadowing to produce desktop manuals, control procedures, and control artifacts
Ability to translate complicated technical concepts into user content and guides. Familiarity with industry-specific terminology, regulations, and compliance standards
Experience within IT Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance with a deep understanding of IT governance documentation levels
Proficiency in using documentation tools and software, such as Google Suite, Tableau Desktop, Adobe Creative Suite, and diagramming tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously
Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and concepts quickly
Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members
Preferred
3 years of Tableau Desktop and Cloud Development
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and best practices in technology and operations control (e.g., FFIEC, COBIT, ITIL, NIST, CIS)
Risk and Governance Certifications CGEIT, GRCP, CGRC
