Academy of Art University is seeking a Lab Technician to work within our School of Animation & Visual Effects for the Spring 2026 Semester. This position will work closely with our students utilizing our lab resources and requires exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Perform junior-level network administration for Windows and Mac network environment
Perform software and hardware installation, troubleshooting and upgrades
Assist students with any software/hardware issues that may arise
Work in coordination with the front desk to ensure the smooth workflow
Provide support and assistance to the Department Director
Provide support to department for Spring Show and other events as needed
Provide excellent customer service. Provide a cordial and friendly presence to students, faculty and staff
Maintain guidelines set forth by the Academy of Art University
Maintain a clean, functional and productive learning environment
Protect equipment from theft or vandalism
Perform other duties as assigned
