Custom Business Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to participate in the development and delivery of their insurance product portfolio on the InsuranceNow platform. The role involves collaborating within an agile team to develop features, conduct code reviews, and implement continuous integration and deployment practices.

Responsibilities

Product scoping, discovery, hands-on technical input and helping translate user features into system design
Work in an agile team, pair programming and support deliverables in production
Development of the all the required functions/features on the InsuranceNow platform
Receive and provide feedback in code reviews
Do test-driven development to ensure high confidence in any code you develop
Collaborate within the Scrum Team to understand the requirements and possible implementation options
Help develop Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) - Jenkins
Ability to rapidly absorb new technologies and have the desire to work in a fast-paced environment

Required

3 to 5 years of experience with Java
BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry technical skills
Knowledge of API development
Knowledge of JavaScript
XML processing
Relational Database Experience (Redshift, PostgreSQL, MySQL, ...)
Version control with Git
Clean code practices working within a team environment
Debugging and Root Cause analysis skills
Good communication skills
Strong individual contributor with experience delivering high-quality solutions
Interest in software / architectural design principles
IDE - IntelliJ or Eclipse
JDK - Amazon Corretto
API Testing - Postman
Version Control - Git Hub, SourceTree

Preferred

Guidewire InsuranceNow development experience - preferred
Knowledge of P&C Insurance a plus
