The Account Manager/Executive will manage a portfolio of yacht business, negotiate terms, and build relationships with clients and carriers in the Yacht Specialty group of High-Net-Worth Personal Lines.

Responsibilities

Manage an existing portfolio of yacht business with the objective of expanding the client practice
Negotiates new and renewal terms, conditions, coverage limits and pricing with carriers and wholesalers. Deliver and review for accuracy new and renewal policies with the yacht team
Contribute to the growth of the division by being a trusted and reliable member of the yacht practice
Actively participate in building new relationships and nurturing existing ones within the NFP network, serving as a trusted resource within the yacht team
Timely Epic documentation and managing material changes in risk. Maintains a diary (follow-up system) to ensure policies, endorsements and other information is received to comply with requirements
Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, and clients through regular contact and client visits
Participate in corporate and industry events as required

Required

Extensive understanding of yacht insurance terminology and familiarity with yacht insurance coverage, policy wording, terms and conditions
Experience in Personal Lines/High-Net-Worth accounts is required
Must have managed a book dedicated to yacht practice and have comprehensive knowledge of the yacht insurance market guidelines and placement criteria
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – writes clearly; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numeric data effectively; able to read and interpret written information
Self-confident to make sound independent decisions
Possess technical expertise plus good analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous and professional manner
HS Diploma or equivalent required
Property & Casualty Broker's License required upon hire

Preferred

BA/BS preferred
Typically, more than 3 years of industry and product line experience with ideally covering a yacht-specific BOB
Experience with EPIC or similar agency management systems preferred
