Responsibilities

Design, develop, document RF hardware designs including:

L-band intermediate frequency design integrated on PCBs

Schematics design and layout

Component selection

System bring-up performance testing and optimization

High-speed PCB trace signal integrity simulation and analysis

Utilize strong communication skills to effectively work and communicate with team members and engineering management

Required

Understand the architecture and design tradeoffs impacting wireless communications, such as noise figure, phase noise, spurious, harmonics, flatness, and adjacent channel interference

Strong L-band design experience. Higher frequencies desirable

Experience with amplifiers, local oscillators, filters, impedance matching, ADC, DAC interfaces, as well as quadrature and direct RF modulation and demodulation

RF schematic and layout

RF circuit simulation tools, and PCB trace signal integrity modeling (ADS, Genesys, Spice, etc.)

Use of laboratory measurement tools (spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, vector network analyzer, source signal analyzer, etc.)

RF Board bring-up and debugging

Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)

Demonstrated experience supporting multi-disciplinary, cross functional and matrixed teams

Bachelors or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering ( or related degree )

3+ years of RF design experience
