Clinical Data Analyst
ARUP Laboratories is a national clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory and an enterprise of the University of Utah. The Clinical Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing clinical and operational data to support data-driven decision-making, ensuring the production of meaningful analytic reports and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates the clinical and operational information needs of stakeholders
Queries and analyzes clinical and operational data to glean meaningful insights
Ensures production of meaningful analytic reports, dashboards, and visualizations based on the needs and direction of stakeholders
Develops, collaborates on, maintains, validates, documents, and supports digital solutions using:
Relational databases in Microsoft SQL Server
ETL processes with SSIS
Tableau
VBA, python, or other programming languages
Statistical tools such as JMP, R, or Anaconda
Oversees the quality and consistency of data reporting and analysis
Shares knowledge in methods of data analysis, visualization, and presentation
Collaborates with stakeholders including technical operations management, medical directors, pathologists, R&D, and IT
Actively seeks opportunities to advance their software knowledge, data manipulation skills, and understanding of existing and emerging analysis and statistical techniques and technologies
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or better in Computer Information Systems or related field
Bachelor's Degree or better in Medical Laboratory Sciences or related field
Bachelor's degree in health information management, medical laboratory science, business, or related field
Two (2) years of experience in data analysis, visualization, and reporting
One (1) year of experience in healthcare
Demonstrated experience in using statistics to solve business problems
Demonstrated experience in related IT applications, concepts, practices, and procedures including but not limited to Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, VBA, Python, R, and SQL
Preferred
Master's Degree or better in Medical Laboratory Sciences or related field
Master's degree in health information management, medical laboratory science, business, or related field
Advanced knowledge of statistics and data visualization
