Attorney (Workers' Compensation Defense)

The Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney will manage a diverse caseload and handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in workers’ compensation claims, including case preparation, discovery, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
Provide strategic legal advice to employers, insurers, and third-party administrators
Manage cases from inception to resolution, ensuring timely achievement of client goals
Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and medical professionals
Stay current on California workers’ compensation laws, regulations, and industry trends
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active membership in the State Bar of California, in good standing
7–10 years of experience in workers' compensation defense
Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation laws
Familiarity with WCAB (Workers' Compensation Appeals Board) processes
