Responsibilities
Providing in-person academic support to students in grades 6 and 7 by 'pushing into' Math and ELA classrooms
Enhancing learning opportunities and reducing the student-to-educator ratio during instruction
Providing one-on-one and small group tutoring in core subjects like Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Regents exam prep
Collaborating with teachers and school leaders to deliver engaging, personalized learning strategies
Qualification
Required
Passion for Learning: Dedicated to supporting academic and personal success, especially for underserved students
Strong Academics: Degree-seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field
Committed and Flexible: Available to work 10-35 hours per week at an assigned school (or virtual program) and participate in monthly training
Collaborative Spirit: Ready to work alongside teachers, school leaders, and fellow tutors to maximize student success
