Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year Business Intelligence (BI) roadmap to support organizational growth and data maturity
Align Business Intelligence strategy with corporate objectives and evolving technology trends
Establish architectural standards for enterprise reporting, data modeling, and governed self‑service analytics (centralized data warehouse, curated data marts/cubes, semantic layers
Partner with all departments (Exploration, Production, Finance, Operations, etc.) to identify analytics needs, develop business requirements, and deliver tailored solutions
Promote a data-driven culture by educating stakeholders on BI tools and best practices
Break down silos by giving different teams shared access to consistent, interactive BI tools
Design, launch, and run a structured program to discover, evaluate, and deliver AI/ML use cases across all functions
Champion adoption: create training, roundtables, and a network of functional AI SMEs; lead change management to encourage responsible, everyday use of AI tools in business workflows
Oversee and participate in the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Spotfire, Power BI, SQL, and PostgreSQL
Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies into the BI ecosystem
Establish governance standards for data quality, security, and accessibility
Drive data centralization
Provide end user train and support and develop a strategy for elevating the use of BI across the organization
Manage a high-performing BI team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement
Provide mentorship and training to enhance technical and analytical capabilities within the team
Qualification
Required
Related bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
10+ years in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics
5+ years managing teams and leading programs
Experience in the oil & gas (E&P) industry a plus
Microsoft suite of tools, both on-premises and Azure
Technical expertise in Spotfire, Power BI, SQL, PostgreSQL. Familiarity with other analytics technologies a plus
Managing data warehouses
Proficient with ETL processes and integrating data from multiple systems
Hands‑on with data modeling, performance tuning, and enterprise security/access management
Expertise with data visualization best practices
AI/ML: Practical experience standing up AI/ML programs: use‑case discovery, pilot delivery, MLOps/operationalization, responsible AI governance, and change‑management
Stakeholder management, and ability to translate field and corporate needs into actionable analytics solutions
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, set priorities and work under pressure
