Responsibilities
Oversee all makerspace operations for the Microsoft Garage in Cambridge
Ensure equipment readiness and EHS compliance
Maintain a safe innovation environment
Daily lab opening/closing
Preventive maintenance of fabrication and electronics tools
Train users on equipment
Maintain inventory and procurement lists
Enforce lab rules
Document safety and operational procedures
Provide hands-on support during workshops, demos, and hackathons
Partner closely with Garage Program Managers and Microsoft stakeholders to enable prototyping, events, and hands-on learning experiences
Qualification
Required
Oversees all makerspace operations for the Microsoft Garage in Cambridge
Ensures equipment readiness
Ensures EHS compliance
Ensures an efficient, safe innovation environment
Daily lab opening/closing
Preventive maintenance of fabrication and electronics tools
Training users on equipment
Maintaining inventory and procurement lists
Enforcing lab rules
Documenting safety and operational procedures
Providing hands-on support during workshops, demos, and hackathons
Partners closely with Garage Program Managers and Microsoft stakeholders
Enables prototyping, events, and hands-on learning experiences as outlined in the Garage Managed Services SOW
