The State of Florida is dedicated to supporting the economy and workforce of Florida. They are seeking an OPS Government Operations Consultant II to manage and enhance the Employ Florida system, coordinate with various agencies, and provide training and technical assistance for workforce programs.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Create, manage, and update administrative accounts in the Employ Florida (EF) system
Review, approve, and respond to service requests submitted to the Online Project Communication portal
Assist in the enhancements and refinements to workforce program reporting systems
Establish and maintain an on-going working relationship with partners and customers to ensure delivery of quality products with regard to supporting system enhancements and workforce programs
Assist and prioritize the development and implementation of system modules and coordinating communication between agencies and workforce partners
Participate in Data Validation procedures/audits related to the Employ Florida system
Reviews policies, procedures, guidelines, state, and local plans, and evaluates the impact on program operations. Also identifies potential problems and recommend appropriate action
Monitor weekly, monthly, and/or annual reports of site traffic and suspicious activity
Create queries and manage relational databases

Required

Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis
Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials

Ability to utilize problem solving techniques
Working knowledge/proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Skilled in group presentations or workshop instruction and/or facilitation
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in individual and group settings, both verbally and in writing
As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records
Duties and responsibilities of this position must be performed at the official work site of the Department

Preferred

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university [i.e., computer science, information systems, technology, public administration, business administration, or related field], or at least two years of equivalent work experience in workforce development programs
Working knowledge of Wagner-Peyser (WP), Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Welfare Transition (WT), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Migrant and Seasonal Farmworker (MSFW) and Trade Adjustment Act (TAA) programs
