Ultimus Fund Solutions is seeking a Managing Director, Head of ETF Products to lead the development and growth of their ETF product line. This role will involve strategic planning, business development, compliance oversight, and client relationship management to ensure the success and expansion of the ETF business.

Responsibilities

Develops and executes a strategic plan to grow the ETF business in partnership with sales
Leads market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities within the ETF market
Identifies and pursues new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the client base
Represents Ultimus at key industry conferences, including panels and webinars; industry trade groups and committees
Serves in leadership position(s) on the primary ETF-related Industry Committees to further establish Ultimus position as a leader in the marketplace
Develops collateral, presentation materials, whitepapers, and other tools in support of business development and client relationship management
Regularly provides organizational updates with key centers-of-influence including law firms, auditors, exchanges, Market Makers, Custodian, consultants, etc
Accountable for the line of business and for ambitious YoY growth targets
Identifies any product gaps and develop and executes business plans to close them
Engages with internal and external stakeholders to ensure relevant licensing is in place
Ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements for Exchange Traded Products
Works closely with legal and compliance teams to maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and implements necessary adjustments
Works closely with the sales team to ensure we have a robust competitor analysis, and a leading-edge product suite with global coverage, and within our risk appetite
Manages change and develop risk mitigation plans
Participation in selection and monitoring implementation of technology solutions to support the ETF business
Oversees day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and performance
Builds and maintains strong relationships with ETF clients, ensuring prominent levels of satisfaction and retention
Develops and implements strategies to enhance client engagement and grows assets under management
Executive coverage of the largest, most important, and/or most complex clients, prospects, territories, accounts, or internal relationships
Monitors financial performance and implements strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets
Manages associates within department including, but not limited to, hiring, training, and developing associates, delegating work assignments, writing, and conducting performance appraisals, salary recommendations, coaching and counseling, and administering corrective actions
Conducts one-on-one and team meetings with associates on a regular basis to discuss new procedures, problems, and issues
Establishes team and individual goals for department
Fosters performance of associates and the processes used by them; holds the associates accountable for their work
Mentors associates through instruction, coaching, providing real-time on-the-job experiences, modeling effective practices, and advising on methods used
Interfaces with the C-Suite independently
Consults with the team of Relationship and Client Service Delivery Managers that monitor KPIs and KPIs to ensure client satisfaction is consistently reviewed
Develops and maintains strategic relationships with senior firm/business line management

Required

Advanced degree (MBA, CFA)
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
15 years of experience in the ETF sector
7-10 years of management and leadership experience
Experience with international exchange traded products
Proven record of leadership and success in managing and growing similar financial products
The ability to manage a P&L
Strong leadership skills managing large teams of associates and providing direction on complex business needs
Fosters a collaborative and innovative culture within the team
Strong background in business development and client relationship management
Exceptional leadership, communication, and people skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work effectively in a global, demanding environment
