Responsibilities

Utilizing SDKs for different platforms (Java, Python, Node.js, etc.) to streamline development and access pre-built functionalities
Interact with APIs like Gmail API, Drive API, Calendar API, and others to access and manipulate data within Google Workspace
Create and optimize SQL queries to ensure efficient and accurate retrieval of data from BigQuery
Create dashboards and reports using BigQuery data and Looker to provide insights to stakeholders
Automation of provisioning and deprovisioning user accounts: Creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts as needed, including managing usernames, passwords, and account recovery options
Managing user access and permissions: Assigning roles and permissions to users, controlling access to specific Google Workspace services and features based on organizational needs and security policies
Organizing users: Creating and managing organizational units (OUs) to structure users and apply group-specific settings and policies
Configuring Google Workspace applications: Customizing settings for Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, and other Google Workspace applications to meet organizational needs
Managing third-party applications: Integrating and managing third-party applications with Google Workspace
Troubleshooting issues: Resolving technical issues related to Google Workspace applications and services
Supporting users: Providing technical support and training to users on Google Workspace applications and best practices
Continuously learning: Explore and evaluate new Google Workspace services. Provide feedback to Enterprise Architects and Security on delivering new products and options. Continue expanding knowledge of Google Workspace administration through training, certifications, and community engagement
Configuring security policies: Implementing security measures like two-factor authentication, password policies, and data loss prevention (DLP) to protect sensitive information
Managing security settings: Configuring settings for email security, spam filtering, malware detection, and phishing protection
Ensuring compliance (FTI, PHI, PII, CJIS and HIPAA): Maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards for data security and privacy
Monitoring and auditing: Automate system activity monitoring, reviewing audit logs, and responding to security alerts
Configuring data retention policies: Implementing policies for data retention, archiving, and deletion to meet legal and business requirements

Required

In-depth understanding of Google Workspace applications (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) and their functionalities
Proficiency in programming languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, and Go, commonly used for Google Workspace development
Experience with Google App Scripts
Deep understanding of Google Workspace APIs (e.g., Gmail API, Drive API, Calendar API) and SDKs for various platforms
Knowledge of relational databases and SQL for managing data
Understanding of security best practices for building secure and reliable Google Workspace applications
Ability to analyze and understand business processes to develop solutions that improve efficiency and productivity using Google Workspace
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to shared goals
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI

Preferred

Knowledge of Google Cloud and data structures
Experience with Chrome browser management and ChromeOS is a plus
Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles is a plus

Retirement - Utah Retirement Systems (URS):
Employees hired on or after than 7/1/2011 and have never been in the URS retirement system have two options for retirement in the Tier II System. Employer contributions to your 401(k) are vested after four years.
Employees who have any service credit with an employer covered by the Utah Retirement Systems prior to 7/1/2011 are in Tier I Public Employees System.
Tier 2 Hybrid Retirement System. Employer contributes an amount equal to 10% of your salary between both plans (pension and 401(k))
Tier 2 Defined Contribution Plan. Employer contributes an amount equal to 10% of your salary to a 401(k) plan only.
Employees who have any service credit with an employer covered by the Utah Retirement Systems prior to 7/1/2011 are in Tier I Public Employees System.
Paid Time Off:
Annual leave and sick leave are accrued at 4 hours per pay period each (4 hours annual, 4 hours sick).
Annual leave increases with years of service.
There are also 12 paid holidays.
