Legal Counsel

Rapid7’s Legal team is seeking a Legal Counsel with a primary focus on supporting their go-to-customer organization as a commercial legal counsel. In this role, you will deliver proactive, practical, and business-focused legal advice across the entire customer lifecycle while partnering closely with internal stakeholders and external customers.

Responsibilities

Negotiate a wide variety of commercial transactions on your own, or with the support of senior legal counsel
Work with legal leadership on legal projects such as M&A, intellectual property, and data protection
Be part of a high performing, collaborative, proactive and practical legal team that will embrace your existing skills, while deepening your expertise as inhouse counsel

Required

Admission to and good standing with the Massachusetts bar (or eligibility for an in-house counsel waiver)
2+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, preferably within the technology or SaaS sector
Experience supporting go-to-market teams on software licensing, SaaS agreements, NDAs, services agreements, SOWs, and order forms
Demonstrated history of partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Privacy, and Information Security teams
Experience or interest in public sector procurement and familiarity with FedRAMP-related requirements
Strong ability to translate complex legal requirements into clear, practical guidance for non-legal audiences
Interest in leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve legal processes and efficiency
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and collaborative mindset
