Responsibilities
Perform basic welding tasks using MIG, TIG, or stick processes as trained
Prepare materials by cleaning, grinding, and fitting components
Follow blueprints, work instructions, and weld symbols at a basic level
Inspect completed welds for defects and compliance with specifications
Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety requirements
Identify and report issues with materials or equipment
Support higher-level welders with preparation and setup tasks
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication or industrial environment
Proficient in MIG and TIG welding, welding equipment and techniques
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to work safely around hot materials, machinery, and sparks
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
Ability to stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods
Lift up to 50 lbs. as required
Work in environments with heat, sparks, noise, and fumes, with proper PPE provided
Preferred
welding certification preferred
