Accounting Supervisor
Orthopedic Centers of Colorado is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee and manage their accounting department's operations. The role involves supervising accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial processes, and collaborating with other departments.

Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including accountants, bookkeepers, and clerks
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback
Lead and motivate the team to achieve goals and objectives
Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals
Oversee daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
Prepare and review financial statements and reports
Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making
Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures
Participate in payroll processes
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
Monitor actual performance against budget and identify variances
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures
Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Proven work experience as an Accounting Supervisor
Strong written and oral communication; strong interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating chart and using advanced formulas)
Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated, takes initiative, can work independently and as part of a team
Strong orientation to deadline and detail
Ability to work in a continuously changing environment, flexible
Curiosity and a passion for learning
Team management skills
Ability to prioritize work
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Preferred
Accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus
Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
