Responsibilities

Designs, implements, and maintains scalable and reliable Azure cloud infrastructure to support our modern data platform

Collaborates with a diverse team to build and enhance our data platform to enable data collection, processing, access, usability, and monitoring

Deploys Azure services using Infrastructure as Code and Azure DevOps

Develops and deploys scalable and efficient data processing pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks

Works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud-based solutions in the Application Development Lifecycle (Development / Test / Production)

Ensures maintenance of Infrastructure as Code libraries

Continuously explores and adopts new technologies and best practices to improve our data infrastructure

Provides technical expertise and guidance to team members and stakeholders

Ensures Change Management and Configuration Management standards are implemented and executed

Ensures technical, architecture, and application designs aligns to company IT architecture and security standards

Required

A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant OR 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree

Minimum of 2 years of professional relevant experience in Cloud Platform Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related field

A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Preferred

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates) and DevOps pipelines

Experience with cloud cost management principles related to compute (Databricks) and storage (ADLS)
