Billing & Accounts Payable Specialist

They are seeking a proactive Billing & Accounts Payable Specialist to enhance the financial performance of the organization by managing core accounting functions and supporting the finance team.

Responsibilities
Create Weekly/Monthly Billing Vouchers for our Early Intervention Program. Assist in the preparation of all Gov’t Agency Billings
Assist in the review and reconciliation of Contractor reimbursements
Post all credit card charges to the correct vendor and accurate general ledger accounts and departments, monthly
Assist in preparation of accounts payable tasks, including review and processing of properly approved vendor invoices, ensuring consistency with executed contracts
Assist in tracking Construction in Process, recording all purchased assets in the correct asset classification in the general ledger
Assist with annual audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
Assist with month-end closing
Filing Billing & Accounts Payable files (including digital files)
Support accounting team functions and provide backup where needed
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in finance or business administration, required
Minimum 5 years of experience working in an accounting department with experience in Billing, Accounts Payable and general accounting
Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Excellent time management skills to prioritize and complete a wide variety of tasks throughout the day
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Pivot Tables, V-Look-up, and general ledger systems
