TAX ADMINISTRATOR II, EMPLOYMENT DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
The Employment Development Department (EDD) is one of the largest State departments in California, dedicated to connecting job seekers and employers to strengthen the economy. The TAX ADMINISTRATOR II will oversee the Accounting and Compliance Enterprise System (ACES) Program Development Section, managing system maintenance and supporting payroll tax compliance and unemployment insurance activities.

Responsibilities
Providing oversight of the Accounting and Compliance Enterprise System (ACES) Program Development Section
Planning, staffing, organizing, and directing through subordinate managers
Working independently and collaboratively with Tax Branch management and staff, Information Technology Branch partners, vendor staff, and contacts from stakeholder organizations
Actively participating as a member of the ACES Leadership Team, ACES Management Bureau Team, and Tax Support Division (TSD) management teams
Supporting Branch workload management, revenue realization, data security, and related customer support services to internal and external ACES users
Overseeing the maintenance and support of the ACES system as it relates to the registration, accounting, and compliance activities for California payroll taxes and Unemployment Insurance and Disability Insurance benefit overpayment establishments
Managing system incident reports, including analysis and development of recommendations to address business, programmatic, and customer needs
Managing development and recommendations for system and program enhancements that may result from business process changes, legislative changes, quarterly system service packs, and periodic system upgrades

Required
