Responsibilities
Coordinate and complete all line locates related to the transmission line. Including emergency locates
Maintain the files of all the TL easements, maps, and contact info
Familiar with the system route, access points, and readily knows how the functionality of flow optimally operates
Responsible for properly functioning facilities and the overall upkeep and cleanliness of the take-point plant sites
Records production meter readings weekly and coordinates biannual meter testing/calibration
Makes regular field trips along the transmission lines and delivery lines to inspect for any problems existing or foreseen; plans ahead to maintain optimum operations
Serves as the coordinator to contact, schedule, supervise, and inspect line repairs which often occur outside of the regular workday
Oversees the back-up generator systems for proper operation and coordinates with the service provider to maintain the annual service contracts
Knows and understands the cathodic protection system and where the equipment is located along the transmission line. Inspects these locations periodically to know that the corrosivity program is operating as expected. Periodically coordinates with cathodic protection contractors for inspections and projects
Meets with contractors, engineers, property owners, and other public entities regarding easement matters, operations, line repairs, or capital improvements
Works to advise the Water Superintendent to resolve any issues or complaints, whether from customers, coworkers or others
Demonstrates a continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline the work processes, and works cooperatively and jointly to provide a quality seamless work product with co-workers and customers
This position is on-call 24/7 and will be provided a company vehicle
Serves to perform other related duties as may be assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Graduate or GED equivalent
At least one year of experience in construction or surveying
