Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, small businesses, partnerships, and corporations
Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to clients
Oversee bookkeeping services, including reconciliations, financial statements, and monthly closings
Supervise payroll processing and payroll tax filings (Forms 941, 940, W-2, W-3, and applicable state filings)
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Communicate directly with clients, providing clear guidance in English and/or Spanish, and helping them understand their financial information
Collaborate with internal team members to streamline processes, mentor staff, and support firm growth
Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and workpapers
Qualification
Required
Active CPA license (Oregon) or Licensed Tax Consultant credential valid for practice in the U.S
Ability to prepare and advise on tax matters independently is required
Experience in public accounting or tax services, with exposure to tax preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll
Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online); experience with tax software such as Drake is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities effectively
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance
Professional ethics and dedication to serving diverse communities
Preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred, but not required
Experience with tax software such as Drake is preferred
