ISP/OSP FIBER TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities

General knowledge of cable installation practices
Proficient in fiber terminating, splicing, and testing both inside and outside plant
Responsible for the installation, termination, splicing, testing, certification and documentation of fiber optic cabling as well as related fiber optic maintenance activities
Telecom certifications are a HUGE plus
Ability to read and understand complex prints for fiber slicing and equipment installations
Have a desire and ability to support customer needs with strong attention to detail
Perform all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment

Required

Have a minimum of 2 years' direct experience in the Telecom field
Be able to pass a pre-employment Drug Screening and Criminal Background Check
Have a clean driving record and valid Driver's License
Be willing to work flexible hours (days/nights)
Have a positive attitude and be highly motivated
Possess excellent analytical skills and ability to problem solve
Ability to distinguish varying fiber colors
