Health Care
Responsibilities
Managing schedules and calendars for program leadership
Manage appointments
Assist with travel arrangements
Prepare and mail correspondence
Answer and direct phone calls and emails
Scan, file and organize documents
Manage office equipment including service calls
Creating and maintain presentations
Conducting research and compiling data
Proof reading and editing documents
Provide administrative support to staff
Perform clerical tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Current NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service as an Office Assistant 2 G-9
One year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a position allocated to a salary Grade 7 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law
Current NYS Department of Health employee with one year or more permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive status or 55-b/55-c service in an office assistant, clerical or keyboarding title allocated to Grade 6 or higher
One year of clerical experience
Preferred
Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills
Organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in teams to carry out tasks to completion
Use of MS Office Suite
Critical thinking skills
