Responsibilities
Handle performance testing for routers and extenders
Write TR-069/TR-181 related scripts
Validate CPE (i.e. TR-069 routers) on the network
Customize scripts & run experiments per vendor – ports, wifi radios, SSID packets
Generate TPut/KPI/and other performance metrics/statistics for the devices being tested
Compile test reports, in order to help prepare presentations
Qualification
Required
Previous experience with WiFi performance testing is a must have
Octoscope and/or Veriwave is a must have. Octoscope is for OTA testing and Veriwave is for conductive testing
Ability to write shell scripts to validate CPE (i.e. TR-069 routers) on the network is a must have. TR-069, TR69, TR-69 OR TR181, TR-181. ACS (Auto configuration server) is another good key word for this)
Solid knowledge of RF concepts – Splitters, attenuators, antennas, RF shielded box, etc
Experience with lab test equipment – Spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc
Good knowledge of TCP-IP, & L2 networking / switches, Wireshark debugging tool
Ability to customize scripts & run experiments per vendor – ports, wifi radios, SSID packets
Preferred
Background in SW automation using tools like Python & Expect or other
Familiar with L3-networking / routers is a plus
Generate TPut/KPI/and other performance metrics/statistics for the devices being tested, compile test reports, in order to help prepare presentations
