Responsibilities

Shape a best-in-class payroll experience for 6,000+ teammates across multiple entities, unions, and locations in the U.S. and internationally
Lead an in-house payroll operation, ensuring accurate, timely preparation, documentation, and disbursement of payroll and payroll taxes
Drive innovation, productivity, and value-added improvements that scale with our growth
Oversee the integrity of payroll systems, processes, and general ledger postings
Champion continuous process improvement, reengineering, and best practices
Ensure appropriate withholding and filing of all legally required reports, maintain compliance with wage and hour laws, and confidently advise leaders on the impact of new and proposed regulations
Manage audits, develop and maintain department policies and procedures aligned with strong internal controls, and steward the operating budget and capital spending plan
Partner with Finance, HR, and Technology to support clear communication, effective prioritization, and disciplined execution
Lead a talented team—setting objectives, building development plans, coaching and mentoring, and managing performance to achieve ambitious goals
Investigate and reconcile complex challenges, approve adjustments, and provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Balance day-to-day demands with strategic projects, modeling intrapreneurship by thinking boldly, taking appropriate risks, learning from mistakes, and reinforcing innovation
Demonstrate ownership by setting high expectations, driving candid discussion, and holding yourself and others accountable

Required

Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of payroll or finance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility to include Supervisory or Managerial experience; OR MBA plus 2 years of payroll or finance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility to include Supervisory or Managerial experience
Computer skill requirements include: Basic MS Word and MS PowerPoint; intermediate MS Excel. Intermediate ADP Vantage Payroll and Time or equivalent payroll processing software experience
Experience in project management and systems implementation
Experience effectively presenting information to various groups of employees, including Senior Leadership
Experience engaging and influencing people at all levels
Skilled in analytical and critical thinking

Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred

MBA plus 4 years of payroll and systems implementation experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility to include Supervisory or Managerial experience
Certified Payroll Professional (C.P.P.) desirable
Intermediate Kronos or equivalent timekeeping software experience
Experience reading, analyzing and interpreting common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
Excellent communication skills to effectively and professionally deal with all levels of management and personnel. Experience effectively presenting information to top management
Skilled in working with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Skilled in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Skilled in interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions and dealing with several abstract and concrete variables
Works under pressure, meets aggressive deadlines and makes effective and sound decisions
