The Laboratory Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating laboratory activities, maintaining accreditation, managing quality documentation, and interfacing with vendors to ensure compliance with laboratory standards.

Responsibilities

Maintaining laboratory accreditation to ISO 17025

Primary point of contact for external third-party audits including A2LA

Performing and documenting internal audits and resulting Corrective Actions

Enter and track purchase requisitions, receive invoices and issue goods receipts when necessary

Scheduling equipment maintenance and calibration, receive and review calibration certificates for compliance with laboratory quality policies

Interfacing with vendors of externally provided products and services, reviewing records, requesting new vendors, performing audits of vendors

Managing, creating and reviewing quality records and documentation including procedures, policies and quality manual

Maintain schedule for training and materials for quality related topics

Perform editorial reviews of laboratory created documents including test reports, write papers, procedures, presentations, etc

Assist with equipment safety checks

Other duties as assigned

Required

Minimum 2-year post-secondary education / training such as, but not limited to Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, Trade School, Military Training, or formal on-the-job training if applicable

Quality, Administrative, Customer Service or related fields

Must be a self-starter with strong drive, initiative, and ability to work with limited management input

Ability to travel domestic up to 10% of the time

Preferred

Previous experience in quality / calibrations

Proficient with SAP
