National Account Manager
EPIC Business Essentials is a performance-driven organization focused on providing tailored alternatives to traditional office products retailers. The National Account Manager is responsible for developing strong relationships with Distributor Members and customers, driving business growth, and ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic market vision.
Responsibilities
Develop and expand business opportunities by prospecting, cultivating leads, identifying target accounts, and commercializing business opportunities
Proactively identify and qualify new Distributor Members and source national account sales opportunities
Manage a robust pipeline of opportunities to meet financial objectives, ensuring program compliance and maximizing account penetration
Lead Distributor Members through the commercialization process, driving key milestones including discovery, qualification, stakeholder engagement, objection handling, proposal development, and negotiation
Conduct research to gather customer intelligence, identify decision-makers, and understand factors influencing customer decisions such as pain points, strategies, pricing, and internal dynamics
Contribute to market research efforts that support the development of new market and channel strategies
Identify emerging opportunities in strategic markets and support the creation of actionable plans to capitalize on them
Stay informed on industry trends and market dynamics by engaging with trade journals, attending industry meetings, and networking with professionals in the field
Collaborate in strategy sessions and reviews to enhance communication and alignment across internal teams
Act as a liaison to coordinate and prepare business development documentation for open opportunities
Support the Managing Director in additional duties and responsibilities as required
Qualification
Required
Candidates located in the Greater Chicago Area a plus however not required

The ideal candidate combines strategic vision, industry expertise, and exceptional business acumen to advance the organization's growth and development initiatives
Preferred
Extensive knowledge of the business products industry
Understanding of Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) and the Independent Dealer Channel (IDC) a plus
