Commodity Manager – HR and Professional Services
Toyota Material Handling is seeking a Commodity Manager for HR and Professional Services to help establish sourcing strategies across multiple sites. The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to align sourcing outcomes with organizational goals, developing commodity-level strategies, and driving supplier innovation and process improvement.

Responsibilities
Partners closely with business stakeholders (e.g., HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.) to understand needs, shape specifications, and align sourcing outcomes with organizational goals
Leads commodity-level strategy development and execution for assigned indirect spend areas, aligning sourcing levers to organizational objectives
Applies structured evaluation frameworks that integrate cost, quality, delivery, and risk—weighted according to cross-functional input and aligned with strategic sourcing policies—to support defensible supplier selection
Develops and executes structured RFx processes to drive informed, traceable, and unbiased supplier decisions
Delivers competitive advantage in indirect procurement through cost modeling, negotiation strategy, and structured contract management
Improve quality and delivery by participating in and executing strategic supplier improvement plans through monitoring performance regularly and leading key initiatives
Minimize and eliminate supply chain risks by quickly addressing concerns and supporting internal stakeholders, such as in the event of immediate supply risk or emergency outsourcing
Drives value beyond cost through supplier innovation, process improvement, and alignment with ESG or operational efficiency goals
Engages in initiatives that foster collaboration and operational synergy across TMHNA, affiliated companies, and global partners
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
2 + years relevant experience in procurement
Ability to Travel: Up to 25-30% (domestic and international)
Preferred
CPSM or APICS certified in supply chain and operations management
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas
Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a strong sense of urgency
Results-oriented with excellent communication skills across all organizational levels
Strong analytical and research capabilities; adept at problem-solving and multitasking
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure
Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
