Responsibilities
Spearhead drug discovery programs, fostering effective collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams
Manage Contract Research Organizations (CROs), overseeing study design, protocol optimization, troubleshooting, task scheduling, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality scientific data
Conduct comprehensive data review, quality control (QC), analysis, and interpretation of in vitro and in vivo pharmacology results
Author and contribute to key documents, including discovery reports, patent applications, manuscripts, and regulatory submissions (e.g., IND filings), to support program progression
Provide strategic scientific input for target selection, validation, and portfolio development
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmacology, Immunology, Oncology, or a related scientific discipline
8+ years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience
Proven track record of leading multiple drug discovery programs and delivery of pharmacological data package to enable IND
Expertise in identifying and validating high-value therapeutic targets across multiple disease areas, supported by robust evaluation of biological rationale, therapeutic tractability, and competitive landscape
Strong proficiency in establishing in vitro biochemical/biophysical and cell-based assays, and in identifying and utilizing translational disease models
Demonstrated experience in managing and collaborating with CROs on early discovery and IND-enabling programs
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific data clearly and effectively
