Responsibilities

Responsible for tranforming the data available into meaningful insights, reports, and visualizations
Analyze data sets using data mining, data engineering, data cleaning, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning
Presenting results through visualizations, summaries, and reports

Required

Non-competitive: bachelor's degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field
satisfactory completion of a two-year traineeship or two years of experience in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools
A master's degree in the above fields may substitute for one year of the specialized experience
A Ph.D. in the above fields may substitute for two years of the specialized experience

Preferred

A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated proficiency using languages such as, but not limited to, SQL, Python, R, or SAS
Experience with visualization software such as Tableau, SAS BI, or Power BI
Experience with machine learning and predictive analysis
Experience and/or strong understanding on data engineering processes like data infrastructure design, building data pipelines, cloud integration and computing
Experience in selecting and adapting new technologies and AI tools
Experience in public health research utilizing peer reviewed journals, large demographics and/or public health program data to analyze and interpret results and findings for drawing conclusions and making recommendations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to explain very technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work well in a team
