Responsibilities

Design and implement contract-first API tests using OpenAPI / JSON Schema
Build PR-time API validation suites for critical endpoints
Implement deterministic mocks and fixtures (Testcontainers, WireMock)
Own backward-compatibility testing and contract drift detection
Partner with DevOps to optimize execution time and parallelism
Maintain curated fixtures for repeatable, stable API testing
Contribute to Copilot golden examples and AI-assisted test patterns
Support baseline API performance testing using k6

Qualification

Required

6–9 years of experience in API testing and automation
Strong hands-on experience with contract-first testing
Expertise in REST APIs, JSON Schema, and service mocking
Experience integrating API tests into CI/CD with quality gates
Strong analytical and debugging skills

Preferred

Experience with Testcontainers or WireMock
Performance testing exposure (k6)
Familiarity with AI-assisted testing workflows
