Responsibilities

Develop and execute the enterprise AI strategy in alignment with UFPI’s business goals

Operate a transparent intake & prioritization process; manage stage gates and portfolio health in conjunction with IT PMO

Lead the AI Team within IT, overseeing platform development, guardrails, reusable agents, policy, standards, and talent communities

Implement and maintain AI governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks

Partner with Segment AI Champions to intake, deliver, and track adoption and benefits of AI solutions in each BU

Oversee the development and deployment of agentic AI solutions, integrations, and frameworks

Drive workforce upskilling and safe employee access to AI tools

Finalize and operate the AI Usage Policy and training programs

Build and maintain reliable partner relationships to support AI solution delivery

Report on KPIs including operational efficiency, adoption, enablement, and financial value realization

Collaborate with oversight bodies (PIT Committee, GRC, Cybersecurity, Privacy/Legal) for risk assessments and compliance

Up to 20% travel required

Required

Requires a bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience in AI, machine learning, or data analytics, including 3 years in a leadership role

BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field

7+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, or data analytics, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

Proven track record of developing and implementing enterprise AI strategies and solutions

Strong understanding of AI governance, compliance, and risk management

Experience with hub-and-spoke operating models and cross-functional team leadership

Excellent writing and verbal presentation skills enabling preparation and presentation of information and recommendations to a broad and diverse audience

Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking

Ability to successfully communicate and interact with all organizational levels

Ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, multi-task and meet deadlines

Critical thinking and problem-solving

Ability to provide outstanding service and to have a sense of urgency

Ability to follow directions and instructions
