Facilities Project Manager

Viking Yacht Company is a long-established business seeking a full-time Project Manager to join their Plant Engineering team. The Project Manager will oversee property improvement projects and maintenance initiatives, ensuring they are completed efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of property improvement projects, including renovations, building systems upgrades, and facility improvements
Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure on-time and within-budget project completion
Coordinate with property managers, contractors, engineers, and maintenance teams to align project goals and operational needs
Conduct inspections to monitor project progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety, building codes, and regulations
Analyze and recommend cost-effective solutions to improve building performance, reduce operational costs, and increase property value
Utilize engineering expertise to solve technical challenges related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and operational needs
Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, change orders, and ensure the quality of services and materials
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in property management and building engineering

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in project management, ideally in property management or construction
Proven experience in managing complex engineering projects, including renovations, retrofits, and building systems upgrades
Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and property management operations
Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders
Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project)
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Develop scope of work documents / bid packages for subcontractors

Preferred

PMP certification or other project management qualifications
Read and comprehend blue-prints; AutoCAD proficiency a plus
