Trait Integration Associate II

Responsibilities
Assist in executing trait introgression workflows, including crossing, backcrossing, and selection activities
Support genotyping and phenotyping efforts to confirm trait presence and performance
Maintain accurate records of breeding activities, pedigrees, and trait data
Prepare and organize seed stock for planting, sampling, and shipment
Monitor plant growth and trait expression in greenhouse and field environments
Help ensure compliance with trait stewardship and biosafety protocols
Collaborate with scientists and technicians to support trait advancement decisions
Participate in data entry, quality control, and reporting tasks
Adhere to and promote company safety standards and protocols at all times
Contribute to maintaining and improving research quality standards and data integrity
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding of plant breeding, genetics, or agronomy
Experience working in greenhouse, field, or lab settings
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to follow protocols and maintain accurate records
Familiarity with data entry tools (e.g., Excel, breeding databases)
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to work in varied environments (field, lab, greenhouse)
Bachelor's Degree in agricultural field required, Master's degree a plus
Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in crop development, breeding, or agricultural research
Prior experience in agricultural research or trait integration programs
Must have valid driver's license and meet MVR requirements
Ability to lift up to 30 Lbs
Ability to travel 25%, including occasional weekends and some international travel
Expect extended hours and varying weather conditions during peak planting and harvest seasons
Must be able to work safely in outdoor environments and around agricultural equipment
Preferred
Exposure to molecular tools or genotyping platforms is a plus
