Responsibilities

Support daily operations of the USCIS network and system infrastructure across multiple sites

Install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based servers and networking equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper)

Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and other core IT services

Monitor network and system performance, using tools like SolarWinds, Splunk, or similar

Apply security patches and system updates in compliance with DHS/USCIS cybersecurity requirements (e.g., STIGs, IAVAs, RMF)

Implement and manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)

Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures

Assist with incident response, change management, and system recovery efforts

Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce security policies and perform vulnerability remediation

Provide Tier II/III support and mentoring to junior team members

Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation as required
