Inventory Modeling Tech Specialist (Associate, or Experienced Level)
The Boeing Company is seeking an Inventory Modeling Tech Specialist who provides assistance in gathering data and developing models and simulations. The role involves analyzing data to support demand forecasting and optimizing logistics simulations, while collaborating with various departments to enhance supply chain practices.

Responsibilities
Builds and manages data sets/modeling records to run models and simulations to identify process and system improvements and support business decisions
Gathers, cleans and verifies accuracy, and analyzes data to develop and manage multiple data sets to run demand forecasting, strategic optimization, initial spares models and logistics simulations
Utilizes a collaborative approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving

Assess performance of models and analysis and confirm that business objectives were met
Adaptable, able to work in a constant change and fast paced environment
Builds and manages data sets/modeling records to run models and simulations
Identify process and system improvements and support business decisions
Gathers, cleans and verifies accuracy, and analyzes data to develop and manage multiple data sets
Collaborates with functions such as Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, and Finance to facilitate best inputs into forecasting models
Run demand forecasting, strategic optimization, initial spares models and logistics simulations on complex projects
Analyzes, manipulates, updates and optimizes models
Uses models to estimate resource needs
Uses tools, models and simulations to identify process and system improvements
Assesses supply chain practices to improve cost and cycle time
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of experience in Data analytics
Experience using or applying statistical and mathematical concepts to measure performance against projects to ensure high-quality deliveries
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a 'US Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. 'US Person' includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
Preferred
5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Great communication skills, and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced production environment
Programming experience in Python
Experience with statistical software (e.g., R) and database languages (e.g., SQL)
Strong team player and passion to execute projects with a focus on customer and value
Bachelor's or master's in computer science, economics, quantitative finance, operations research, statistics, mathematics, or related field of engineering
Demand forecasting and/or data simulation experience
