Responsibilities

Assists in the design and/or project/process management of new and current projects, products, programs, components, tools, and acceptance equipment under technical guidance of higher- level technical experts
Assists in the development of test procedures and performance of routine engineering evaluation tests, product and process capability studies, quality audits, product or project data reviews, and other engineering evaluation work
Prepares evaluation reports, analyzes discrepancies, and makes recommendations for product, test equipment, procedures and manufacturing or operating processes that improve productivity and quality and reduce flowtime
Defines and acquires tooling, gauging and other equipment necessary to manufacture/inspect parts to assure product quality
Interacts with internal and external stakeholders to assist in resolving routine design, development, production, and acceptance issues
Supports evaluation regarding technological advances that improve productivity and quality, reduce flowtime, and enhance operational surety
Provides peer mentorship and support when applicable

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in EngineeringAnalytical skillsMathematical computationsComputer software applicationsTechnical methodologiesInternship experience

Required

Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program or bachelors of science degree in Physics from an accredited program
No prior experience required
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
United States Citizenship
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

Preferred

Demonstrated analytical skills and experience with mathematical computations and computer software applications
Demonstrated established technical methodologies to routine engineering projects
Previous relevant internship experience or equivalent preferred
