Responsibilities
Maintains all aspects of golf course and grounds by using required skills and equipment
Mixes and applies chemicals and granular products to the golf course and club grounds with the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent. Maintains all required records for such applications
Repairs and installs irrigation pipes, valves, wiring and drainage with the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent
Follows all applicable safety procedures and laws when using equipment and chemicals
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with others
Qualification
Required
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus two years of related experience and/or training
Valid Alabama Driver's license required
Certification in Spraying or Irrigation must be obtained within 6 months of hire
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations
To perform this job successfully, the individual should be proficient in relevant technology and software applications required for the position
