Responsibilities

Assist in designing, developing and testing electrical systems and equipment for military, industrial, commercial, and consumer use related to Unmanned Systems (UAVs, UGVs, USVs) of various types
Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and clients to identify and resolve technical issues and improve system performance
Assist with the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
Help to develop and implement automated programming and testing apparatuses to aid in production and quality assurance of circuit boards and subassemblies
Collaborate with manager to establish internship goals and steps on achieving those goals throughout duration of the program
Assisting the overall project development under the supervision of a engineering group leader
Performing data collection and analysis
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Knowledge of electrical design software for schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium (Preferred), Eagle PCB, Autodesk Fusion360, KICAD, etc...)
Familiarity with electrical simulation tools such as LTspice
Knowledge of common industry protocols (LVDS, I2C, HDMI, UART, SPI, CAN, USB, MIPI)
Familiarity with embedded processors such as ARM, and basic embedded programming skills therein with C/C++
Test and Debug abilities with common lab equipment including DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, Logic Analyzers, etc
Proficient soldering skills
Demonstrates a strong willingness to work effectively as part of a team
Focused on achieving goals with a clear, end-oriented approach
Capable of successfully managing and prioritizing multiple tasks
Open to acquiring new skills and embracing continuous learning opportunities
Strong verbal and written communication, paired with effective organizational abilities

Recent degree or current enrollment in an engineering program in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Systems Engineering or related field
Validated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)
Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required
