Principal Architect
Omega Technical Services is seeking a Principal Architect to provide support to their client in the North Las Vegas, NV area. The Principal Architect will provide senior-level architectural leadership and technical expertise in support of complex infrastructure projects, including planning, coordinating, and executing architectural design work.

Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate independent architectural work requiring judgment, initiative, and advanced professional experience
Provide architectural expertise and guidance in resolving technical, code, regulatory, and safety issues
Coordinate architectural and technical issues with other design disciplines, MSTS management, customer organizations, and project teams
Interface with design and construction disciplines, management, and customers to ensure alignment and execution of project objectives
Conduct architectural construction document reviews as required
Assist in the preparation of task estimates, technical studies, and design analyses
Manage special assignments and provide leadership, training, and consultation to architectural staff and project team members
Support infrastructure projects through development of:
Functional, non-functional, and operational requirements
Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs)
Project Requirements Specifications (PRSs)
Supporting documentation including task/subtask breakdowns and visualizations (site layouts, floor plans, and 2D/3D pre-conceptual designs)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Architecture with a combined 15 years' professional architectural experience in relevant design/field experience required
Minimum of 12 years of professional architectural experience, with preference for mid-range to senior/principal-level experience
Working knowledge of Federal (including DOE Orders), State, and Local architectural codes and standards
Current Registered Architect license (state registration required)
Experience coordinating architectural work within multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams
Familiarity with MicroStation computer-aided drafting applications
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance
Preferred
15+ years of combined professional architectural design and field experience
National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) certification
