Insight Global is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Build Technician to join their fast-paced, hands-on team responsible for building custom cable assemblies. The role involves supporting engineering activities, performing testing and troubleshooting, and assembling complex mechanical assemblies according to provided specifications.

Responsibilities

Works independently or in teams
Assemble complex and advanced mechanical assemblies according to CAD drawings, prints and assembly instructions
Install assemblies and cabling onto equipment, and validate proper functionality
Perform testing and troubleshooting of modules and machines and document results
Perform equipment modifications as directed by development and manufacturing engineers
Responsible for completing tasks according to project schedules

Required

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in electromechanical assembly
Proficient in reading technical drawings and performing wire preparation, crimping, and connector installation
Skilled in using hand crimp tools, wire strippers, extraction tools, and soldering equipment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Capable of lifting items weighing 20–50 pounds occasionally
High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred

Electro-mechanical assembly experience with high-precision assemblies
Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly process documentation
Experience routing and terminating cables
Experience with building and installing pneumatics and hydraulics assemblies helpful
Ability to use calipers, micrometers, force gauges, torque wrenches and dial indicators
