Business Analyst (contract)
Microsoft is seeking a Business Analyst (Contract) to contribute to critical supply chain operations while developing analytical expertise. The successful candidate will manage data and process documentation, support customer-driven requirements, and engage in process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
Establish and maintain communication services across business units and project teams
Maintain storage and retrieval systems for all project communications data and business metrics
Review contracts, cost proposals, and contract supplements for accuracy and compliance
Establish and document business processes using lean methodology and process mapping tools
Set up and maintain project and work breakdown structures
Track project budgets and expenditures while monitoring transaction controls and costs against budgets
Conduct data entry, data review, and analysis to ensure system alignment and accuracy
Participate in meetings to review inputs and changes from leadership
Identify discrepancies in data and processes and recommend corrective actions
Support waste analysis and lean approach improvements across operational workflows
Create process maps and documentation to support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years of experience with Lean Six Sigma documentation, including process supportability, waste hour analysis, and implementing waste reduction strategies
Minimum 2 years of experience with PowerBI for data analysis and reporting
Minimum 2 years of experience working with Microsoft Office applications
Previous experience with process mapping tools, particularly Visio
Lean Six Sigma documentation and process improvement methodologies
Data entry and data management with high attention to detail
Verbal and written communication skills
Customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation
Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to analytical work
Ability to analyze business trends and identify process inefficiencies
Problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
Preferred
Experience in supply chain, operations, or business analysis roles
