College Summer Intern
The World Affairs Council of Harrisburg is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the South Central Pennsylvania community through global education and cultural exchange. They are seeking a College Summer Intern to oversee high school interns, assist with day-to-day operations, and develop leadership skills while connecting with influential figures and organizing events.
Responsibilities
Oversee a group of high school interns
Assist with the day-to-day operations of a non-profit
Connect with influential figures like elected officials and subject matter experts
Participate in Zoom sessions and in-person trips to the PA State Capitol and Harrisburg City Council
Craft and execute the International Young Leaders' Conference
Choose a theme, secure prominent speakers and moderators, and organize a career fair
Qualification
Required
Strong communication skills, including writing, editing, and public speaking
Social media management and digital content creation skills
Organizational and event coordination abilities
Research, data gathering, and analytical skills
Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work independently or in a team
Interest or background in global affairs, education, or nonprofit work
Enthusiasm for working with diverse groups and engaging with the community
