Responsibilities

Design and program control systems (PLCs/HMIs/robotics/motion control) for automated equipment, per internal and customer specifications

Develop safety-PLC circuits; perform risk assessment and design/implement required safety devices to ensure compliance and safe operation

Create UL-508 certified control-system designs

Specify components, document control, electrical and pneumatic designs; carry out machine programming, pneumatic/hydraulic design, debugging, and system certification

Travel (~ 25% average — mostly domestic, with potential for future international travel) to customer sites to handle installation, startup, commissioning, and hand-off

Required

5+ years' experience designing and programming control systems for automated equipment

Hands-on experience with control platforms — e.g. Allen-Bradley software suites like Studio 5000, RS500, FactoryTalk View (or similar)

Proven experience with safety-PLC programming and capability to deliver UL-508 certified control designs

Preferred

Associate degree (or higher) in a relevant technical or engineering field is preferred
