Director of Marketing
The Navy SEAL Museum San Diego is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Marketing to lead brand, communications, media relations, digital marketing, and events promotion for a world-class cultural institution. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving museum awareness, increasing visitor traffic, and supporting fundraising initiatives through integrated, multichannel marketing strategies.

Responsibilities
Lead and evolve the Museum’s brand and marketing strategy
Drive visitation through digital, social, media, and experiential marketing
Oversee media relations, communications, and social media (Instagram, Facebook, X)
Market exhibitions, events, and public programs
Support fundraising and advancement with compelling marketing materials
Serve periodically as Manager on Duty, including evenings and weekends
Qualification
Required
Senior-level marketing leadership experience with proven growth results
Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills
Social media savvy with hands-on experience managing business accounts
Experience with websites, SEO, and digital platforms
Strong aesthetic sensibility and passion for guest experience
Ability to be based in or relocate to San Diego; travel as needed
