They are seeking an experienced Soft Goods Freelance Designer to lead the design and development of soft goods products from concept to production-ready, collaborating with manufacturing teams and engaging with clients to deliver innovative design solutions.

Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of soft goods products from concept to production-ready
Collaborate with overseas manufacturing teams to ensure design intent and quality standards are met
Undertake materials research and be able to propose relevant materials for a given product
Market research to analyze competitor trends and opportunities for the product
Create clear, comprehensive tech packs that streamline the production process
Engage directly with clients, understanding their vision and delivering innovative design solutions
Successfully manage and deliver fixed-cost projects within budget and timelines
Qualification
Required
Proven track record of bringing soft goods products to market
Strong communication skills and experience with international production partners
Ability to work across a variety of product categories
Confident in client-facing roles with excellent presentation skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail in tech pack creation and project management
Preferred
Experience with pattern making is a bonus but not required
