Aerospace Quality Engineer

Chromalloy is a global engineering & solutions company that provides aftermarket parts and repairs for aircraft engines and gas turbines. The Aerospace Quality Engineer will evaluate and resolve quality-related matters during manufacturing and maintenance of turbine engine components, while supporting quality system compliance.

Responsibilities

Interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications and confer with engineering staff to determine quality standards
Prepare corrective action responses, Auditing over various departments, 8D problem solving for permanent corrective actions, and lead problem solving activities
Manage internal and external customer drawings and specifications
Demonstrate and deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring timely release of control of configuration management documents, responses, and data
Provide technical support to both internal and external customers and suppliers
Formulate and implement quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards
Actively support Cost-Out, Scrap/Rework reduction & improved First Pass Yield site goals and objectives
Support daily production shipments to internal and external customers

Required

At least 3 years relevant work experience as a quality engineer
Six Sigma, 8D, or root cause analysis experience using statistical analysis tools
Certification process experience (i.e., ISO9001:2008, AS9100/9110) FAA Part 145, FAA Part 21, CAAC, CAA, Military
Knowledge of QDAS system. Proficient in Excel, Minitab, Microsoft PowerPoint
Knowledge of GD&T, OEM Customer Portals (Siemens, Rolls Royce, Safran, etc.)

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, or other related field) is preferred
AS13001/AS9117 Delegated Product Release Verification Training Certification Preferred
